How It Works


Bionic Cube uses ozone-free, bipolar ionization technology to elevate positively (O2+) and negatively (O2-) charged oxygen ions in your personal space. These oxygen ions are naturally created and exist in the air we breathe outdoors, however they are far less abundant in cities and especially indoors. While the elevated oxygen ions are natural and safe they are also extremely effective. These ions are capable of neutralizing pathogens (viruses, bacteria, mold spores), odors, harmful volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and reducing allergens like pollen, to vastly improve your indoor air quality.

Behind The Science

We combined superior, commercial-grade, air purification technology into a portable device. 

Similarly to what sunlight does in the atmosphere, the bipolar ionization technology installed in every Bionic Cube produces a balanced output, creating a very proactive, bio-climate, rich in positive and negative oxygen ions. The negative ions contain an extra electron while the positive ions are missing an electron resulting in an unstable condition. In an effort to re-stabilize, these bipolar ions seek out atoms and molecules in the air to trade electrons with, effectively neutralizing polluted air.

What are oxygen ions?

Ions are molecules/atoms that contain an electrical charge and exist throughout nature in various sizes. Small ions may only last between 30 to 300 seconds before the dissipation of their charge, but are extremely active like tiny magnets with one pole.

Normal small ion densities range from ~400 to ~1,200 negative ions and ~1,000 to ~1,200 positive ions per cubic centimeter (ions/cm3). They can be detected at higher levels near to the coast and at higher mountain elevations. At sea level ion densities are typically around 500 negative and 600 positive ions/cm3. In cities and inside buildings ion levels drop by up to 80-95% and may be barely detectable in small spaces.

As ion densities decrease, so does the air quality in your space. By increasing the measurable quantity of both positively and negatively charged oxygen ions, the indoor air quality is improved. This is the basis of the bipolar ionization technology inside every Bionic Cube.

This very same technology has been increasingly utilized in luxury hotels, shopping centers, and sports venues for more than 10 years as well as on VIP jet airplanes since 2012.
